A key requirement for controlling staff bookings, whether holiday or otherwise, is to ensure that there is adequate staff cover while that staff member is not present in their normal role.

The Staff Planner helps you do this by

  • Identifying which staff cover for each other
  • Identifying with booking codes are affected by staff cover
  • At booking time, informing the Staff Planner Administrator of any conflicts - giving the date, the person and the other booking code.

It does not prevent the booking - just asks if you want to continue.
